Markus Linder is an impact entrepreneur and investor, as well as the Co-Founder & CEO of inoqo and Co-Initiator of the European Sustainable Food Coalition (ESFC). In 2006, he founded the SaaS technology startup Zoovu (previously known as SMARTASSISTANT), and was responsible for scaling the company to a global market leader ($25m+ in VC raised, nearly 200 employees) as its founding CEO.
In 2019, he stepped back from his operational role and began actively investing as an impact investor, focusing on globally scalable business models that impact biodiversity and the climate crisis. In 2020, he initiated inoqo – a technology startup that helps grocery retailers and food and beverage companies assess and manage the environmental impact of their products.
As a Co-Initiator of ESFC, Markus is currently driving sustainability efforts in the European food industry by fostering partnerships and developing a unified methodological framework for food and beverage impact assessment, enhancing comparability and accuracy, which ultimately supports standardized sustainability reporting across the EU.
