Dr. Leon Mol was educated as an agronomist at Wageningen University. After having worked in the potato supply chain, Leon was employed as Agronomist at Albert Heijn (Netherlands) working on the long-term availability and sustainability of fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, and plants, with an emphasis on food safety and social compliance.
For seven years, the scope of work broadened to the global level and also included product sustainability and animal welfare. Since April 2023, Leon oversees product safety for all products and activities of Ahold Delhaize.
