Ignacio Antequera

Ignacio is an agricultural engineer (University of Madrid), with over 20 years of experience in creating trust across the food supply chain through the verification of third-party certification schemes, as well as establishing cooperation and partnerships for the implementation of good agricultural practices and the recognition of farmers’ efforts on a global scale.

He is currently the Lead Stakeholder Care at FoodPLUS, where he strives to establish strong collaboration amongst supply chain stakeholders. Ignacio believes this is the key to achieve the greater implementation of safer and more sustainable farming practices, and for a greater recognition of industry-leading, cost-effective, and value-adding assurance and benchmarking solutions.
