He is repeatedly recognized as a leading intellectual property practitioner, including by Best Lawyers and WTR1000, as well as being named as an “Outstanding Individual” in the WIPR Trademark Rankings 2024. Alexander regularly publishes articles on trademarks, designs, and unfair competition. He is also a lecturer at the HHU Heinrich-Heine-University in Düsseldorf, and previously for many years at HTW University of Applied Sciences in Berlin.
